Patrick Lux · Genève
Astronomia Luxe
Time, laid bare.
I — The dial
A perpetual calendar with nothing to hide.
The dial is cut back to a lattice of rose gold, so day, date, month and leap year are read straight from the mechanism — beneath a moonphase true to a single day in 122 years.
II — The movement
407 components. Zero shortcuts.
Twin balance wheels, forty-six ruby jewels, every bridge bevelled and polished by hand.
III — The watchmaker
Assembled by one watchmaker, start to finish.
One bench, one pair of hands, one signature engraved inside the caseback.

Pl. IV Dial, moonphase and blued hands
Every Astronomia Luxe begins as rose gold ingot and raw brass plate. The bridges are cut, then skeletonised until only what bears load remains — and then every remaining edge is bevelled by hand with files, pegwood and diamond paste, at an angle of forty-five degrees.
The dial is not printed. It is the movement itself, opened to the light, with the perpetual calendar's levers left visible where most maisons would hide them.
A single watchmaker assembles, regulates and cases each piece. The twin balance wheels are poised and paired over several weeks, then observed in six positions before they are allowed to leave the bench.
When the caseback is closed for the last time, the watchmaker engraves their name beneath it. Should the watch ever return for service, it returns to the same hands.
